Upon analysis of the 2024-25 California State Budget, Assemblymember Ta opposed over $250 million in public safety funding, including:
$18 million to process sexual assault kits and examinations (AB 107)
$80 million to protect nonprofit organizations from hate-motivated violence (SB 108)
$99 million to protect victims of crime (SB 108)
$54 million to support victims of sex trafficking (AB 107)
$20 million to prosecute fentanyl dealers and serial retail thieves (AB 107)
“Our communities deserve better,” Jimmy Pham said. “As an attorney, helping some of the most vulnerable people in California, I know the importance of effective public safety and victim support programs. I look forward to bringing my legal expertise to Sacramento to ensure Orange County families know their representatives are fighting for them.”
